McKinsey Collaborates with Microsoft to Harness Generative AI for Business Transformation
McKinsey has announced a strategic collaboration with Microsoft to leverage generative AI (gen AI) agents in managing complex processes across enterprise and shared services operations. This partnership builds on the long-standing alliance between McKinsey and Microsoft, aiming to deliver impactful results for clients.
Economic Impact of Generative AI
Generative AI use cases in enterprise environments are projected to generate between $2.6 trillion and $4.4 trillion in annual economic benefits. Integrating gen AI and other advanced technologies into business operations could automate up to 70% of work hours in the global economy. This significant potential highlights a crucial opportunity for leaders to proactively transform their organizations.
Maximizing Gen AI Value
The collaboration seeks to help organizations harness the value of gen AI by merging Microsoft’s Copilot Studio with McKinsey's expertise in strategy, organizational change management, digital transformation, and implementation. This initiative is part of McKinsey’s open ecosystem of leading gen AI innovators, led by QuantumBlack, McKinsey's AI consulting arm.
